The Quiz Bowl Challenge is a four day event that includes competition as well as seminars and exhibits. Morning sessions are devoted to competition to determine a national champion in each age category. The afternoons are devoted to seminars on Black history as well as personal development.
Registration begins on Wednesday afternoon. There will be a competition seminar for competitors, coaches and staff. Staff members will walk everyone through the rules and how the event will flow. During this seminar, the team captains will draw to set the brackets.

The first evening culminates with a reception with local officials and sponsors for competitors and other guest. This will include a public announcement of the brackets. This is an opportunity for the visitors to receive their gifts and goody bags as well as relax before the competition begins.

The first round competition begins Thursday morning at nine. It continues until the semifinals of each bracket are set. Thursday afternoon will feature the first of the seminars, which should end at five. An outing is being planned for that.
The same schedule will be followed on Friday during the day. Phase two of the seminars will be held in the afternoon. The evening will include dinner with a featured speaker and special guests. Prominent members of the Black community will be honored during this event.
Saturday morning will feature the crowning of the national champions in each age group. This session begins at ten and concludes at noon. After lunch, there will be a town hall meeting with special guests. This will feature questions from the competitors for the panelists. The day concludes with the championship banquet where the championship trophies will be formally presented to the teams.
